Computers Unlimited (CU) - a leading independent European IT distributor, announces the success of its first reseller training weekend held at the University of Warwick on 16/17 May 2009.
Attended by over 100 resellers and CU sales staff, the event was designed to help CU and its resellers sell more products, especially in times of a recession. Presentations given by vendors discussed the technology and potential markets of all featured products, including the products benefits for the end-user. The format of the day allowed each delegate to attend up to six seminars. Time was also available during lunch and refreshment breaks to visit the exhibition hall to discuss business one-to-one with vendors. Jacqui Smith, Group Marketing Manager at CU commented, "We were overwhelmed by the number and quality of attendees. So many resellers gave such positive feedback and asked for it to be turned into an annual event." CU also held an exam at the end of the day (in keeping with the 'education' theme) to test delegates on the knowledge they had gained. During the evening's celebration dinner, prizes were awarded for 'Best Exam Score', 'Top Reseller' (based on enthusiasm throughout the day) and 'Top Vendor' (voted for by the Resellers themselves).
